Mechanisms
Mechanisms
commonly ordered on Boehm flutes include split e (offset or inline) and the c# trill key.
We also make ergonomic adjustments for the hands of the flutist, for instance, moving the
foot joint table closer to the right hand to alleviate any stretching to reach the
rollers, or making a slightly longer g# spatula to help the left hand pinky lay more
naturally.
We have
the skill, tooling and technology to build other mechanisms as well, such as the new
Murray Mechanism/ Laszewski Scale flute. The mechanism shown here allows for optional
half-hole venting in the upper register for intonation.
At Tom
Green Flutes, our policy is to continue to offer flutists the latest options and advances
in acoustics and technology at the same high quality and reasonable price as our standard
flutes.
